Recently, we saw how Southwest Florida has many different kinds of outdoor amenities. And with such a wide range of activities, anyone who loves the outdoors is sure to find something to enjoy. After all, we have warm weather and sunshine nearly all year!
Still, there’s more to living in Southwest Florida than just being outside in the warm weather (even though it is pretty awesome). In fact, when you’re hunting for your next dream home in SWFL, you’ll discover that our area has a variety of amenities that are truly excellent.
Take for example our arts, entertainment, and leisure amenities. Whether you like to just kick up your feet and relax or you enjoy seeing world-class art, there’s something for you too. And today, we’ll show you exactly what they are!
Art and Historic Museums
From the Ringling Museum in Sarasota to the Bailey Matthews Shell Museum on Sanibel, you can see everything from Renaissance paintings to shells from around the world. And those aren’t your only options, we have more than a few museums that are excellent to spend the day in.
Spring Training
At the same time, spring training is an activity that many residents and visitors alike look forward to each year. I know around this time, people start marking the games on their calendars. Baseball is a big sport here in Southwest Florida, and we’re very lucky to have spring training as a local amenity.
Upscale, but Affordable Shopping
Living in Southwest Florida gives you choices when it comes to shopping. For example, you have affordable, but upscale shopping like the Ellenton Outlets, which are very popular. And across our area, more and more shopping options, from local to luxury, are popping up.
Local Options for Delicious Drinks
And speaking of local, there are lots of spots for grabbing a delicious drink. As you can imagine, with all our warm weather, we know how to mix a cocktail here. In fact, there’s too many places to name them all when it comes to local favorites, but to name a few, there’s Ford’s Garage in the Cape to the Social in Sarasota.
Living in Southwest Florida and the Theatre
You might not think of Southwest Florida when you think of taking in a play, but the reality is that we do have these as well. One of my favorites is the Asolo Repertory Theatre, which is known for its plays and other shows.
Zoos and Aquariums
Last, but not least, we also have several zoos and aquarium that I recommend. The Mote Marine Lab, for example, is a popular place to see some wildlife. But so is the Naples Zoo, among others.
Hunting for your dream home in Southwest Florida and need to be near leisure activities? I’d be happy to show you all the options when you’re ready!
