You might have heard about a growing trend across the United States. After decades of large homes, some people have decided to go a different route. And in turn, this alternative choice has become a movement all on its own.
In fact, you might even have wondered if the tiny house movement, as its informally called, is right for you. But what really meets the definition of a tiny house? And more importantly, is it right for you? Today, you and I are going to explore what defines a tiny house and how you can tell if this lifestyle is right for you.
How Tiny is a Tiny House?
You’ll probably be very surprised to learn that a tiny house isn’t about square footage at all! In essence, it’s also not about space-saving storage either. Or any particular style or design. Let’s dispel a few other myths before we look at the true definition for tiny homes.

FACT: your tiny home can be mobile if you want. Or not at all! Nothing says that you have to have wheels on your tiny house.
MYTH: tiny houses are only for dense, overcrowded cities
REALITY: people across the country, in big cities and rural areas, have chosen tiny homes. In fact, you could buy 100 acres if you wanted, only to set-up a tiny house of your own right on it!
MYTH: a tiny home always uses cheap, inferior construction

Wait though, there’s more! It also makes it possible to improve your quality of life and interactions, while realizing your dreams. It’s more than just a home; it’s an entire lifestyle and a way of thinking.
But you don’t have to worry. After managing millions of dollars’ worth of real estate, I’ve come up with a simple criterion you can use for tiny homes. If it…
1. Focuses on effective use of space
2. Relies on good design to meet the needs of the residents
3. Serves as a vehicle to a lifestyle that the resident wishes to pursue
So, in reality, a tiny home is relative to who lives in the space. It can be 200-1200 SF. But it must be intentional design and arrangement to work. Many tiny homeowners have also given thought to…
The Balance Between Your Time, Money, Relationships, and Well-Being
And through this evaluation, determined that they must radically change how they approach life. They also realize that there’s huge benefits to living for what is important to you.
In this way, tiny homes are a vehicle to change what is important to you. It’s not enough to move into a tiny home and call it a day. You must make lifestyle changes too. This means examining your beliefs, desires, and yes, even your goals, including spending habits.
And as a millionaire mom, I know a thing or two about meeting goals through the power of real estate and wealth generation. How can you attain financial freedom and ensure the lifestyle you want? You don’t have to guess!
