Over the past few years, SWFL real estate in many areas of our region has really strengthened in value. At the same time, our slice of paradise remains incredibly affordable, especially when you compare it to places like San Francisco or New York. And when I talk to my clients, they are ecstatic about how far their money can go here, while still experiencing increased value on what is one of the biggest investments of their lives.
Still, for SWFL real estate, there are a few parts of our area that are becoming increasingly trendy. Now, that doesn’t mean that prices are through the roof (though we do have many areas that are perfect for luxury living, if that’s what you need). Instead, these 3 Southwest Florida areas represent an incredible balance between amenities, cost-effective pricing, and enjoyable lifestyles.
Downtown Sarasota for Hip and Laid Back
If you take a stroll through Downtown Sarasota, you’ll find a lovely, walkable area right on the water. You’ll also discover that some new restaurants serving excellent food have started to pop up, among other amenities. And at these locations, you’ll find many hip, younger professionals having a good time. In and around Downtown Sarasota, there are also a number of arts-related amenities that are second to none. Add in the outdoor amenities, like running along the water, fishing, kayaking, and more… well, you have a place that’s really starting to get attention.
The Anna Maria Island Area for Coastal Living
While the Anna Maria Island area might not be making national headlines, this quaint little spot is getting more and more trendy with each year. Now, first of all, from Bradenton Beach to Anna Maria, the beaches are like something out a movie. And with Anna Maria’s shops and eateries, we’re seeing more and more people making this a destination to hang out on the weekend. Of course, owning a condo or other Southwest Florida real estate on this strip of paradise puts you right in a fairly quiet, but chic place to spend time in.
Fort Myers Beach for Affordable SWFL Real Estate
And finally, Fort Myers Beach is seeing increased interest as well going into 2018. This area is still undergoing a freshening up phase that’s attracting attention and has plenty more potential. And while there’s a mix of properties in this area, you can still find affordable real estate that puts you right near some of the best beaches in the world. Now, inventory can be a little tight, and there are a number of attractive condos as well, but in the coming years, we expect this part of SWFL to become even more popular.
Interested in everything that Southwest Florida has to offer? I’d be happy to help you find exactly what’s right for you for your next dream home.
